Traveling unchaperoned with the eligible Lord Hal Wyatt would seriously harm Sophia Haydon s reputation except that she already knew herself to be a ruined woman When Hal heard the full story, however, he realized the beautiful, courageous Sophia wasn t ruined so much as in disgrace with her family But the two of them hade spent days and nights alone together, so marriage seemed inevitable Sophia yearned to be Hal s bride, but since he was only marrying her out of duty, not love, she was going to rebel every step of the way

A good story but nothing too exceptional

Not the worst book I ve ever read meaning there weren t egregious violations of grammar, etc but it was really hard to like the heroine it s been a while since I ve read a book with an adult heroine who behaved in such an adolescent way, with so little common sense or responsibility She was so ridiculous, and so unchanged in the ridiculousness at the end, that I actually didn t really want to see her get a happy ending.

2,5 rounding to 3.It s a sweet story but I was not convinced but the heroine She was supposed to have matured four years after a terrible experience but she behaves like a teenager all the time She seems oblivious of the consequences of her attitudes and keeps persistent to live out of reality during the whole book That time period was not easy for women.Maybe I ll try just onebook of this author because I already own it otherwise I would simply move on to other authors.

I enjoyed reading this book I finished it in a day It was a good fluffy read My only complaint is that I got frustrated with the heroine s determination to not marry the hero even though she was completely in love with him I understand trying to put his needs first trying to be unselfish, but once it became clear that the wedding was happening she was still trying to find some way to leave Very frustrating I enjoyed reading this book I finished it in a day It was a good fluffy read My only complaint is that I got frustrated with the heroine s determination to not marry the hero even though she was completely in love with him I understand trying to put his needs first trying to be unselfish, but once it became clear that the wedding was happening she was still trying to find some way to leave Very frustrating

The book starts off well and is funny in parts The second half is stretched and too many misunderstandings.
