I am a short way into this book that has such glowing reviews and noticed something extremely odd What is this oddity It is that the older protagonist states that her mother died before she was born How does that work then There is nothing in the text to say the mother was kept alive on a life support machine in pregnancy even if that was possible in those days or that the protagonist was delivered as an emergency on the sudden death of the mothet Makes me wonder by whom or if these books are being proof read or edited Puts me off reading any further.

A light read but not that funny The start was wooden and I struggled to believe in a bilingual engineering architect working as a PA.Having got over that, what on earth was the end about Was everyone bilingual If money troubles were the issue they were meant to be for Lydia the final solution apart from being improbable in her situation was cloud cuckoo land.A shame as the premise of the story was interesting.
