This is a review of the e book edition The hardback edition I would give 5 stars. The e book edition contains all of the information but in a terrible order Patient s stories example consultations are often in a haphazard order and do not link to the condition listed For example, under the heading of irritable bowel syndrome, the patient s story is for inflammatory bowel disease The learning points after the consultation are also spread throughout the e book and not linked to any particular patient story consultation It is very difficult to read In addition at the beginning of the chapter there should be a summary of the contents of the chapter as seen in the hardback edition this is absent from many of the e book chapters I have attempted to read this book on kindle, iPhone and iPad, but the result is the same.Overall the content of the book is excellent up to date guidance and excellent consultation guides.I would recommend the hardback edition but not the e book, unless it is updated.

Excellent book Amazing scenarios Detailed feedback for every case Management according to latest guidelines The only thing is that cases may have than one hidden agenda and sometimes make you feel the cases are not realistic to be addressed in 10 minutes Each case has multiple cues and I found it helpful in building your consultation skills in picking cues.

The perfect guide to CSA revision excellent layout, divided into chapters as per the RCGP curriculum, with concise and up to date information summaries after every case, and an ideal consultation example to remind you to ask those key questions Bound page format makes it very easy to take away cases to practise in groups A must have

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend in the run up to his CSA Every day we d tackle the cases together I m a pharmacist myself, but by using the very detailed example consultations for each case I was able to provide him with useful feedback and I saw a huge improvement from start to finish We were able to pick out areas he was struggling with and the additional information at the end of each chapter really helped supplement his learning We found out last night that he passed the CSA and I personally wanted to say a huge thank you to those who produced this wonderful casebook

This folder was the basis of our revision for CSA It is best used in small groups no larger than 4 people I would use it in conjunction with NICE CKS guidelines The list of cases are not exhaustive though you need to do further reading to ensure you cover the curriculum well.

Very happy to receive the contents of this text but unfortunately it has the appearance of being printed on a domestic rather than professional printer and arrived as loose leaf paper without the binder As it was impossible to contact the vendor without being obliged to return the item, we have had to purchase a separate binder to contain the text Very disappointing for such a relatively expensive purchase.
